Last year (2013) we bid farewell to our beloved cat of 15 years, Oscar. As some of you had been aware, our big fuzzy boy was having a hard time in his last few months, but we know that he is enjoying his new surroundings. Probably going to find a watercolorist somewhere who is willing to share her water with a cat and an old sailor who loves to get his chin nibbled on first thing in the morning. Thanks Oscar, it was a pleasure to have you in our lives.

This watercolor was a surprise to me on my birthday. Cathy really caught the love that Oscar would give to you. A better birthday present could not be bought! Oscar, I know that when I pass through my last door you will be there to greet me just like you did at the front door every time I came home! You will be forever in my heart.

And I want to express my thanks and love to Cathy for giving me a great way to remember my Big Guy!
